Inspired by the evening sounds of an owl which I would hear every time I walked home from my Jamaica street studio in Bristol, many years ago. I heard a story that he had escaped from the zoo and that he was quite rare so I created this embroidery inspired by this awesome and wise creature and by a book of Japanese prints I was studying at the time.
